New Website and Special Print Editions

After 17 months of beauty rest, California Eating has resumed publishing small-batch print editions and online content to share the joy and wonder of the Golden State food life!

The return of this passion project includes a fresh new punk-inspired logo designed by Richard Alexander Caraballo, which really connects with my identity as a person who lives and breathes music first. I typically like to take my own pictures and design almost everything myself as a learning process, but Rich’s expert visual contribution has been a key inspiration in this relaunch.

Nicely Toasted recipe zine

The first new California Eating print publication since 2020 is Nicely Toasted, a teeny tiny recipe zine about toast that debuted at the fabulous 2022 SF Zine Fest, with more to come. Read an excerpt with three recipes in 48 Hills. It feels good to be inspired again!
