How to Eat pastaRAMEN's Private Omakase
BY TAMARA PALMER
During my recent visit to Los Angeles, I was invited to try pastaRAMEN, a Wafu (Japanese-Italian) pop-up led by chef/restaurateur Robbie Felice in a secret location. Felice and crew serve a 10-course omakase and sake pairing that’s really like a 15-course meal, since the first course has six components!
Watch my videos to see the two-hour dinner in a flash.
Felice digs deep into technique for these meals, the specifics of which are best left to the element of surprise (though you can see all the dishes I experienced in the first video above and in my Instagram feed). Hearing him describe each course as it comes out without knowing anything in advance is an enjoyable facet of pastaRAMEN.
pastaRAMEN is popping up in Los Angeles through November 13 before opening as a restaurant in Montclair, NJ. Diners gain access by invitation, and guests receive this private reservation link to share with friends after their experience.
