What This Is and Where to Get It

When I attended a private tasting for prospective Off The Grid Fort Mason Center vendors back in January, a charming llama caught my eye. Llama en Llamas is a husband and wife team —he’s from Northern Chile, where they draw their culinary inspiration — and she’s from the United States. They met while she was teaching English in Chile.

The caterer and pop-up vendor was selected to sell at OTG’s Friday night event (which begins for the 2020 season on March 6 and runs through October) based on the strength of their yoguis, which are skewers of vegetables, meat and cheese encased in a waffle that Llama en Llamas’ proprietors say is only sold on the street in this one small part of Northern Chile.

The yoguis should fit right in with OTG’s rotation of vendors — something new and fun to try!
