The Coolest Place to Stop During Coachella

While I’m not going to give up all of my favorite food haunts in the Coachella Valley in one place just yet, I will reveal my number one: everyone attending the annual festival or visiting Palm Springs deserves to put paletas at La Michoacana on their itinerary — especially in the warmer months (but don’t limit yourself).

I’ve been DJing in the Coachella Art Studios for the past three years and I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that I’ve looked forward to my annual paleta excursions as much as anything else about the festival experience. With about 300 endlessly beautiful varieties of the cold treat on a stick to ponder (and warm snack items like elote and Tostilocos), it will always be as exciting as the first time.
